How to become Xero advisor certified, some tips to help you get started

Enrol in the Xero Advisor Certification Program

The Xero Advisor Certification Program is designed to provide you with an in-depth understanding of the software. The certification not only amplifies your knowledge but also allows you to serve your clients better. Once you've passed the Xero Advisor Certification Assessment, you'll be officially certified and proudly showcase the Xero badge on your social media profiles and website.


Becoming certified isn't overly complicated, but it does require commitment. Here are the steps you need to follow:

1. Prepare for the Xero Advisor Certification

Access the Xero Learning Platform

The coursework includes a series of lessons and videos. Each lesson concludes with an assessment, allowing you to test your understanding of the content. After the assessment, it's recommended to go through the "Practise your new skills" section to reinforce your learning.

2. Embark on the Xero Advisor Certification

Once you've finished the online coursework, it's time to register for the live Xero Advisor Certification webinar. Scroll down on the certification page until you find the "Live webinar" section. Register for a webinar slot that fits your schedule and remember to add it to your calendar.

After attending the webinars, it's time for the certification assessments. There are two assessments, each designed to follow a live webinar session. Each assessment requires a score of 80% to pass. Remember, it's not about getting it right the first time—you have several attempts to achieve the required score.
